Workshops and Children's Programs

I offer a diverse range of courses and workshops for children and adults. Here is a selection of my workshops and courses.

Creating a Bronze Jewelry Piece

In this demonstration, visitors young and old experience firsthand how a bronze jewelry piece is created. It begins with an introduction to the materials — copper, tin and bronze. Then we show how casting molds are made from clay and sand. At the forge, the metal is melted and the jewelry piece is cast. This offering works well both as a holiday program and as part of an event.

Life with the Baiuvarii

This workshop for children takes place at the Baiuvarii House in Waging am See. Together we discover Baiuvarii life and compare it with our everyday life today. The children learn to make fire with flint and steel, grind grain into flour using a hand mill, and try on historical clothing. They also make their own pressed metal sheets.

Making a Bronze Chain

In this approximately two-hour workshop, participants craft their own bronze chain. We discuss the technique and tools, and everyone can get started right away. The workshop is designed for 2 to 8 participants and can be offered as part of an event, for example.

Posament Braiding

In an approximately two to three-hour workshop, participants braid their first posament from brass wire. The technique is explained and demonstrated, and I provide individual assistance. Suitable for four to six people.
