Square posament knot

Square decorative knot.

Several posaments of this type were found in a rich women’s grave from the 15th. century in Beloretschensk (Russia).The grave contained 35 posament cross and square knots which were found together with some textiles in a small chest at the feet of the deceased.

The report on the find has no information on size and material. I estimate the posaments to 2.5 - 3cm based on the picture.
