Ring knot

Ring knots were found in the Birka graves 561, 327, 181, 138 and in Hedeby grave 188/1960. The knots differ in material (spiral gold, spiral silver and twisted gold wire) and in the number of concurrent wires (two or three).

The knots can be used as decoration on cords or strips, for example at a pouch or at cords to close a tunic. They look especially good when used as decoration in the braids of your viking hairdo for a feast.

I make ring knots from spiral silver wire with different diameters in two- and threefold braiding. Other sizes as the given ones are possible on request.

The spiral silver wire is made by myself. Just like the originals I wind very thin silver wire around a silk core.
